Born into the home of a faithful children’s Sunday School teacher and Baptist deacon, Charlotte Johnson Husser grew up singing in her home church where she was saved and baptized at the age of 12. She started taking piano lessons at the age of 7 and shortly afterwards played her first congregation hymn and has actively pursued Christian music from that time.

After her marriage to Louis Husser in 1975, she traveled nationwide as bass guitar player and singer in the evangelist team, The Gospel Continentals. The ministry recorded several albums, lead evangelistic crusades and youth events, made televisions and radio appearances, and has seen hundreds of people come to know Christ. Her husband has had several staff positions throughout their marriage, including youth minister, music minister, and pastor.

Since 1992 her husband is senior pastor at Crossgate Church and Charlotte has been the worship team leader since 2000. Under her leadership, Crossgate Church enjoys a blended worship service of contemporary and traditional music. Charlotte enjoys spending time with her family, horseback riding, and gardening.
